Mo Fo 8

Now we come to two books which I am posting about together as they are by the same author, the talented (and very nice) Dreena Burton. I can say she is very nice because I have twice won competitions on her blog and had to have email conversations with her. I also "like" her page on FaceBook. and she lives in BC so that has to count for something.

The books of Dreena's I have are;

I've made more from this book, because I have had it for longer, and appreciate how she uses non-wheat flours in some of her recipes (which is something I like to do too) and how easy and readable they are. She always makes lots of comments and hints to help you as you make the recipe.

I love this for the section on feeding kids in the back. I wish I had this when my children were younger, and would recommend it for this alone even if it didn't have all sorts of yummy stuff in it too. One of the few books I've seen to use Hemp products freely.

Apparently, Dreena has another book in the works. That will be on the 'want' list....

Mmm... ED&BV contains my most favourite hummus recipe ever: Roasted Red Pepper and Almond Hummus. Delicious!

I have been wanting Dreena's books for years! I ask for them for every birthday and holiday, but I have yet to receive them, lol. I'm gonna keep asking!

Courtney - keep asking! The recipes are easy to make and the sort of thing a busy person can make and enjoy with no bother!
