Now, for full disclosure purposes, the next three books were sent to me by my publishers, as they also published them. I will do quick "first impression" posts of the books, and like for the Vegan Cookie Connoisseur, will follow up with more detailed reviews in December, once I've had a chance to cook from them.
Firstly, this book,
Quick and Easy Vegan Celebrations by Alicia C Simpson (also the author of this book I already touched on!)
I like the theme behind this book - holidays and occasion days broke down with a suggested menus, and dishes for each. It appeals to me on an organisational level. I like to be organised! I like the layout of the book, which is similar to Vegan Comfort Food, and is easy to follow and read.
However, I do feel the blah blah (that would be the introduction and assorted other information) at the front of this book is better written, more relevant, and more detailed than in VCF, which may just be Alicia developing as a writer.
First impressions are good and I look forward to making things from this book!!
