Mo Fo 12

Bryant Terry is such a creative person.
Do you have Vegan Soul Kitchen? if you do you'll know what I mean.
How to use all of a watermelon, re-inventing Southern Soul Classics that taste good and are good for you, and setting the whole thing to music!! You really can tell he has passion for what he does.
As for the book, there's a Griddle Johnny Cake recipe in this that I love, and the Spiced Nuts are so more-ish and lovely that I don't allow myself to make them! (Apologies if I have the exact recipe names wrong) I must make more from this book.

I'd love to try Griddle Johnny Cakes...I've never had them before.
Thanks for the Thai Quinoa recipe...great stuff! I also tried it with lima beans (yum!) and edamame (superyum!)

I got this from the library and really enjoyed using it. It's on my wish list for the future. The fried green tomatoes are wonderful, but I didn't using the five cups of coconut oil he suggested.

The Gumbo Z takes a bit of a time committment, but it is SO worth the effort. I can't recommend it enough.

Also, the watermelon rind pickles. :)
